DUI license reinstatement in Illinois is a very in depth process and I have helped hundreds of clients throughout the years in getting their Illinois license cleared after being revoked from a DUI conviction. Today I will discuss the vast majority of my clients who need to get their license cleared – in state clients who have had 2 or 3 driving under the influence of alcohol arrests / convictions.
First, we make sure what date the client is eligible for (a) a restricted driving permit, and (b) full license reinstatement.
Next, we determine what we believe should be the correct Risk level / alcohol treatment classification to give the client the best chance at obtaining full reinstatement. This can include referring the client to a professional alcohol evaluator who we have confidence can help classify you properly or it can be suggesting that you change your risk classification.
Then we create an individualized license reinstatement worksheet for the client to memorize. This includes almost every single question and answer for that particular client that he or she will need to know to have a successful hearing and we give ample time to review and memorize the worksheet before the hearing.
Finally, the hearing proceeds and more than 96% of our clients are granted a restricted driving permit or full reinstatement on the first try.
