Do I have to come to Illinois to get my license back?

As a license reinstatement lawyer in Illinois, many people ask me who live out of state if they need to come back to Illinois to get their license cleared. In my opinion, the short answer is yes. Many clients who retained me have complained that they tried to obtain her license back from Illinois through the out-of-state hearing written packet. My answer to them is that they should be prepared to come to the state for at least one and possibly two days to wrap up their treatment and to have a formal administrative hearing.
