In the past 15 years I have represented hundreds of people in the license reinstatement process with the Illinois Secretary of State after a person's license has been revoked from a DUI conviction. I can't tell you how many times I have been asked what is my success rate. Also, I constantly hear how clients are told by other attorneys or friends that everyone gets denied at their first hearing in their attempts to reinstate their Illinois drivers license.
Don't listen to the rumors. What I have found over the course of helping hundreds of people clear their Illinois drivers license is that if you are fully prepared for the hearing and have the proper documentation, you will have a successful hearing and get your license cleared up in Illinois. My success rate is over 95% on first time hearings. I believe this is much higher than the average attorney out there based on my conversations with dozens of lawyers.
While no one can guarantee that every hearing will end in a successful result and clearance of the Illinois Secretary of State revocation, my theory is that to prepare and prepare and prepare for the hearing gives you the best chance to have a successful hearing and a successful result.
