I have represented hundreds of people who retained me to get their license back after being revoked for DUI in Illinois. My success rate is approximately 96% on the first try for all of my clients. While I cannot guarantee success for every single client, as you can see the vast majority of my clients get their license back on the first try whether it be a restricted driving permit or full reinstatement.
After getting a restricted driving premise, you need to jump through several hoops of a specific checklist that the Secretary of State will send you in order to finalize the permit and actually begin driving. The checklist has always been more of a formality such as taking a written exam and a vision exam at a Secretary of State driving facility.
Recently, I have noted that it is taking my clients longer and longer after being approved at the formal administrative hearing to actually change our permit. While it used to take two weeks in order to begin driving I am seeing client who it is now taking between a month and 60 days which used to be unheard of.
If you are facing a similar situation, please contact my office to discuss your matter or if you're looking to reinstate your driving privileges due to a driving under the influence of alcohol revocation, feel free to contact me at anytime.
