As a driver's license lawyer in the State of Illinois, I often have many clients ask me if it has been too long since they tried to get their license back. Some clients come to me who have not had a valid drivers license for 10 years. Other clients come to me that have not had a valid drivers license in the State of Illinois for 20 years. Is it ever too late to get your drivers license reinstated in Illinois? The answer is no.
I recently represented a gentleman from Florida who had not driven in nearly 18 years. I always wonder why it takes so long for people to try and get moving to get their license reinstated. But there are very personal and stressful reasons as to why many people do not attempt to clear their license in Illinois. I can tell you after representing this gentleman, that he is no longer stressed about getting his license cleared in Illinois because he was successful in clearing his license on his first attempt at a formal administrative hearing at the Secretary of State facility.
If you live outside Illinois and cannot renew your drivers license because of a hold in Illinois, feel free to contact John W Callahan to discuss your case and move on the way to clearing your license.
