John Callahan and Michael Norris have helped people get their license back in Illinois for more than 15 years. As a license reinstatement attorney, John Callahan faces questions from clients and potential clients who want to get their license reinstated in Illinois after being arrested and convicted of at least one but as many as 6 driving under the influence charges.
The first step for many of these people in getting their license back is to get a restricted driving permit. Once the permit comes close to an end, the person is eligible for an additional hearing called a full reinstatement hearing. The question John faces all the time is, “Do I need a lawyer to be with me at a full reinstatement hearing?”
The answer depends on the client. We always use the analogy to a surgical procedure. You probably know where your heart is, but you wouldn't perform heart surgery on yourself. Very similar to an attorneys presence at the hearing. It is not required, by it is definitely helpful. it avoids mistakes and calms nerves and should streamline the process.
Should you need any help getting your license back, feel free to contact John or Mike anytime.
